Bay area baseball (Wahoo willy)

Didnt see this coming... As and giants in the postseason.

Have to admit I like this extra playoff game too. Though I think MLB is going to need to go further to enhance the value of their tv product (in terms of eyeballs not their value to local cable cos).

Anyway. Am I crazy or are the as the most dangerous team in the al? Feels like them and the rangers are head and shoulders above yanks and os in power arms and power bats. The tigers have some of each, I suppose. But id be betting on the as or rangers. I only went to 1 game this yr but have watched a good chunk of their games in August and sept. they have a much better pen than the moneyball teams - although their starters aren't in the same ballpark. Cespedes is awesome to watch. Reddick and Donaldson are both really dangerous hitters - Stephen drew. It's a good team.

The nl is mosly populated by teams with power arms and bats. Nats, braves, reds, giants...

Anything can and will happen, obviously. kinda like the braves. Giants power arms are way less powerful thn last time they made the playoffs - though their offense is better, and bumgarner is a horse.

Anyway. Been a weird season for the pads, and the whole sport - that there wasn't a single MLB story on espn.com front page today wasa decent synopsis for me of where they're at. Cabrera going to win the triple crown and noody is talking about it outside of Detroit.

But... Still I'm excited for the postseason. This weekend in the bay area is goin to be among the craziest on record. As and giants hosting playoff games, nines game, fleet week (air show), America's cup racing, giant music festival... The city just isn't big enough. Not going to go well.
