Change management practitioner course | Business 40

Becoming a change management practitioner sounds much more complicated than it actually is. This is a practical course that is designed to help managers and other members of staff to manage change within their own environment. Anyone already working in this kind of environment will definitely benefit from this type of training.

The aim of the course is to give delegates the knowledge and skills to manage the acceptance of change by putting change theories into practice, enabling staff to become engaged in the changes. There are two levels to the course: foundation level and practitioner level. On the foundation course the delegate will learn how change affects different groups, such as the team, the whole organisation, and individuals, such as the change leader. Following this course will give them the foundation qualification and this is examined by a multiple choice paper.

The practitioner level of the training is designed to build on the knowledge in the foundation level, enabling delegates to get a deeper understanding of the concepts and applications of change management. This level of the training is also examined on a multiple choice paper, but it is an open book exam and there are four questions on a set scenario. The pass mark for this level of training is 50%, but the only candidates eligible for this level of training are those who have already taken the foundation exam. A successful result at this level means that the delegate is able to add Change Management Practitioner to their details on a business card.
